Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) is a national 501(c)(3 organization that promotes the development of state, regional, and national economies by researching and analyzing key public needs and issues, evaluating and designing solutions, and assisting in implementing those solutions. As the centerpiece of its successes, PBC supports public-private partnerships involving government, industry, and academia.

PBC’s Brownfields team specializes in securing and implementing U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfields Grants which enable our clients to assess, remediate, and redevelop brownfield properties. PBC has assisted local governments with successfully securing over $17 million in funding to address brownfields within their communities. Our dedicated approach ensures all funding sources are leveraged to achieve the highest possible outcomes for local communities – turning contaminated properties into productive sites PBC’s Economic Development team has developed and sustained regional and national partnerships that have created innovative new economic development and workforce development initiatives. PBC has partnered with colleges, state workforce development organizations, regional economic development organizations, the U.S. Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and other federal agencies on cluster-based workforce strategies, technology-based economic development strategies, and related action plans.

PBC has also worked with private-sector businesses, universities, and the U.S. Department of Defense on collaborative efforts focused on providing more effective and productive technology-based solutions.
